The Land of Marsh-Hollow
Hi! I decided to start a new RPG!!! Woo Hoo so lets do this thing! *** Character: Name: Kina Race: Human? Description: Violet eyes faceted like amethysts. Long hair a shade darker than her eyes fell straight down her back to her hips. She is average height and thin her skin is pale. Her clothing...simple a white t-shirt and a purple skirt with black shorts underneath. White tennis shoes with no socks. Backstory: Woke up in a strange world with no memories of where she came from nor where she is. All she knows is she is here for a purpose but a purpose she cannot remember. Hoping to regain her memory she sets out across the stange land. *** Kina woke with a start sitting up quickly she took in her surroundings. It is dusk in this land with no name. Two moons hang together in the sky as the sun fades across the horizon painting fall colors on this world. Kina had been her only a few hours lying in the spot she'd suddenly found herself in earler this same day. The same thing had happened earlier too...waking with a start in a strange world. It was this world where the color were so vibrant that many seemed to glow. The water tasted so crisp and refreshing yet Kina was worried. She couldn't remember who she was or why she was here. It had taken hours for her to remember her name and the strain of that had caused her to sleep again only waking just recently. Kina picked herself up off the lush grass that felt like the softest bed imaginable. Her purple hair blowing in the wind of dusk. She surveyed her surroundings but still nothing looked familiar nor did it jog her memory. She was lost and alone and afraid. She didn't know what kind of wildlife inhabited this world she did know that this was not her world. She knew she had been sent, by her people but for what she could not recall. It was getting later and Kina decided to begin walking. Maybe there is a town close by. She had yet to see any people since coming here but truth to tell she hadn't moved from the spot she'd landed in so to speak. Kina sighed as she walked on a small forest path. Hopefully over time her memory would return and she would begin to remember why she was here and who she was. The empty feeling left her sad and somewhat depressed she felt broken. It was dark out, the white stars were shinning in the dark black sky above when she finally caught site of a village. Entering the village no one was around but small lights lit up the windows of the wooden houses. She had never seen houses of the like. It seemed they were made of wood with wooden or thatched roofs. Kina couldn't remember the houses from her home but she knew they weren't like this. Kina walked up to the front of a medium sized house where many lights shone in various rooms. Looking at the sign she could tell it was an inn, but of course she didn't have any money but it was getting cold out and she hoped to sit by the fire for as long as possible. Upon entering the inn she looked around. Everyone seemed to stop and stare at her as she made her way quietly to the fire side and sat on the floor. Laying her head on her knees she stared into the flame hoping everyone would go back to what they had been doing before. Thankfully the noise resumed once they realized this strange visitor meant no harm.

What? there isn't five pages to this thing already? Shameful. ******************** Name: Venn Race: Anyone's guess. Description: Whimiscal and carefree. Long, flowing brown coat, matching brown slacks with ornamental gold buckles. As for how ge acts, well... you'll see. Background: No one asks, no one tells. ******************** The horse drawn carriage crept further and further down the moonlighten road. Every now and then, a horse would snort and break the calm, repetetive sound of hooves meeting cobblestone. A face looked un-enthusiastically from the window of the carriage. The small wooden houses did not seem to capture his attention. It seemed he would pass by this place, too. He looked further down the road and saw a large inn. A broad grin crossed his face. He opened the door and yelled to the driver to stop. He closed the door and looked at his pocketwatch he had pulled from a pocket within his coat. The two hands read 10:17. Perfect, he thought. As the carriage came to a halt, he crawled out of the small vehicle. Reaching into his pocket, he retrieved two gold coins and toseed them to the driver. No bags in hand he walked to the door of the Inn and walked inside. "Ladies and gentleman, please welcome the great Venn!" He bowed in a gratuitous manner. He raised his head and noticed the residents looking at him from afar. "Pleasant bunch, aren't you." he wondered aloud. He walked to the front desk and rang the bell in attempt to catch the Inn-keeper's attention. Giving up after ten minutes, he went and sat down on a large overstuffed chair by the fire and drifted asleep. Moments later he heard someone burst though the door. Through his narrowed eyes he caught a glimpse of the newcommer. She was rather underdressed, wearing only what looked to be a white undershirt and black shortpants, covered by a mere purple skirt. Well, hello... ********************

After much consideration i have decided to use Dimitri. :D ********************************************* Name: Dimitri Race: Human/demon/dragon Description: You already know Background: You know that too ******************************************** Dimitri gazes upon the twon incomers who entered the inn, Hmm that ones full of himself, and the other one is bewildered. I will have to keep an eye on her as the elders said she matches the description but i dont know. *sits down next to Kina* What is your name and where are you from?

sitboy!- 04-02-2006

Kina stared into the fire oblivious to what was going on around her. She didn't notice the man in the chair nor the boy as he walked into the inn. She heard a voice next to her ask her name. Kina turned away from the fire.. "Kina." She said as she locked gazes with a man sitting in a chair. He was dressed splendidly in a long brown coat and brown slacks. Golden buckles adorned his clothing as he sat in the large chair. For some reason he intrigued her. She got up and walked over to him. Looking him still in the eyes.

Makaru- 04-02-2006

Venn stood up and bowed ever-so casually to the approaching lady, his long golden locks pouring over his shoulder. "Evening, miss... Kino, did I hear right?. I'm Venn, of the emerald forest."

sitboy!- 04-02-2006

Kina looked at the man. His golden hair glowing in the firelight as he bowed before her. She blushed a subtle pink growing on her pale cheeks. She cast her eyes down to the floor not wanting him to see her blush. "It's Kina. Venn huh. An unique name, what kind of place is the Emerald Forest?" Kina asked her amythest eyes searching his face.

Thanks I'd be more than happy if you joined us. I think it's taking place somewhere in the 1820's or around there. With Venn's dress pocket watch and sor forth. So somewhere around there, no like Charleston dance or anything more old fashioned I'm thinking. Make your character as you like and I can't wait to see you post and find out what kind of character you make. Looking forward to your posting :). Post Edited 4-3

Pocket Watches have been around since the 1820's man. So anything in that timeframe could also work.

Yay, I get to test a new character! Name: Ichiya Nagiken Race: Plaid...? Human? Yeah, human. Description: Height isn't used much, since he is usually sitting down, or crouched while running, but is about 6', maybe less. Dark brown eyes. Short, black hair. Dark navy blue shirt with sleeves down to the elbows, but very wide. The kimono-like shirt has the mon of Fu Leng on the top left, near the should Light tan-grey, baggy pants. Silent, which makes him seem modest, but takes great pride in receiving credit when it is due (Almost opposite traits. He doesn't brag, but hetakes his position in receiving his titles). Has a voice that seems certain, with question, and almost excited. Carries a hagiku with a piece of wood at the top that is cut in a rectangular way that could possibly be a compartment. Hagiku, this isntrument here ---v Backgound: Nagiken used to be an assassin for the no-longer existant Kinji Organization <--- (Unknown information outside of this character. The organization will paly no part at all in this RPG, I just thought he should have been from an organization if he was a hired assassin). He moved out of his father's house when he made a living performing conerts, playing his hagiku. He has no brothers and 1 sister, Ichiya Tsuki, who he knows nothing about (A character who could possibly be played by someone else, if they wanted to. It's not importance if they don't). His mother lives in a different plane of existace. She's not dead, but was taken up to heaven as a fortune by the fortunes for her skill as a person and in battle. She grants all people blessings of luck and swift speed. Nagiken wanders, defeating his enemies with his music, and what lies inside his art. Well, I might as well post. ~Shrouded in the woods, Nagiken had been hiding. He'd been hiding from villagers that complain that he was using some kind of magic to produce the sounds of his flowing music from his hagiku. The villagers would not cease to pursue him, and try and capture him and study him, or so Nagiken overheard. If anything Nagiken was the exact opposite. His skill flowed straight from his studies. He rolled over and layed on his back, purching himself up with his elbows. He rolled his head completely backwards, and, just then, he saw some girl walking through the forest with a confused look on her face. He stayed completely still, thinking she was some sort of villager. He didn't blend in much. His pants weren't made of bright colors, but they weren't dark. His shirt, eyes, and hair, however, could easily be concealed with their dark colors. He realized who wasn't being followed after a time when the girl was gone. He crawled up and balanced his hagiku instrument that was strapped to his back, and looked around for footprints. Even though it was dark, Nagiken could examine the ground. He saw the girl's prints on the ground, and followed thme the best he could. If he couldn't be caught, then he would do some hidden investigation on his own. Once in a while, he would hear a squirrel, and hide behind a tree, keeping his eyes on the spot of the footprints that he was trying to follow. Eventually, he was lead into some town. The windows were flashing with light; there obviously were fires. The brightest came from an inn. A perfect place to find people. He would ask them if they knew of a man of such profession as his, so that he might lead them to saying that they're looking for him, without knowing that the man they're revealing this information to is him. He silently, yet unsuspiciously, approached the door, and opened it, peeking his head in first. A small crowd turn their heads at him, while the rest kept to themselves. The cold stares made the fire he sw across the room something to look forward to. He tok one half-step, and noticed the girl. His eyes widened. He thought 'Maybe she could have been looking for him, and she just didn't find him. He continued his approach the fire, purposely sitting next to the girl, but not sayign a word. He kneeled down on both knees and put his hands in a praying position, warming them by the fire. He then close his eyes "Hm..." He simply said that after a few minutes had passed. During that time, he noticed that this girl seemed to be an attraction to the other men. Lust... greed... survival. Nagiken only wanted survival, and he could only get that by asking his questions instead of flirting with this girl. He wouldn't mind, but it woudl just waste his time. It might even make his inevitability to survive start to rise. He listened to the conversation with his eyes still closed, his ears open, and his instrument still slung over his back. He interrupted the girl's and that man's conversation just then, "The Emerald Forest... if I'm not mistaken, there is a wanted man from the Emerald Forest. The citizens there hate wanted men. They make it a dangerous place when someone has committed crimes there. It's best not to go there..." He spoke in such a natural manner and tone, hoping to break to ice. There was no wanted man from the Emerald Forest that Nagiken really knew about, he was just making something up to maybe bring up his situation. Then, after that, he could really keep pulling the information out. But, for now, he waited to see if anyone would bluff and go with his story, just to help his political strategy.~ Oh, and tell me if I accidentally put in names likes Cestria, Makaru, or Fumetsu instead of Kina, Venn, Dimitri, or Nagiken. Lol. -=}N{=-

Inuyasha_78- 04-05-2006

~ears perk at the sound of emerald forest~ head turns from the fire, You should not speak of this here, it is dangerous many of these people do not appear to be what they seem. You three are lucky usually people who speak of the Emerald Forest arent seen again, now follow me to my room, to many eavsdroppears and wandering ears. ~opens door to room and motions for everyone to sit~ Now what is it that you know of the Emerald Forest, You see i visited tehre once but i was too young to remember, what it looked like or where it was. But you see this was all foretold by 4 wisemen when i was 16 they said soon the Emerald Forest will fall into darkness and despair, but this will be cause by something else i am n ot sure of what just be wary of what is around you things do not always appear what they seem.

Makaru- 04-05-2006

Venn casually laughed at the stranger who led them to his room somewhere inside the inn. "Darkness and despair, you say? Well, these 'wise men' you know sure have their imaginations," he said, rather cockily. He turned to Kina and took her hand. "The reason no one ever returns from the Emerald forest is because they never want to leave." He turned back to the stranger who had yet to formally introduce himself with the odd instrument on his back. "And you. You say there are criminals wandering about. Had you been to such a place, you would know that no feelings of ill will exist." He withdrew his hands from the girl's and placed his elbows on his knees. Putting his head in hands and staring at... Dimitri? Yes. That sounded right. He looked at Dimitri innocently and spoke. "And I find you the most intriguing. If what you say is true, and you beilieve it to be so, why would you share it with this common group of strangers?" his eyes narrowed to a frown. "If I may be so bold, perhaps it is you who is not all that he seems."

Inuyasha_78- 04-06-2006

~ssmirks~ Ahh so you can feel it can you, it is true that im am not as I appear for i am a Demon Dragon/human but thta is not the point scoff at the upcoming evil of teh Emerald forest as you wish but today as the sun is rising u will see darkness in the direction of the Emerald forest. But as too why I share this info with you is because these wise man foretold a group of 4 a musician, me, and man in a coat, and a girl with a lost memory. So from my point of view i believe that it is us. The wise men could not tell if we would suceed but they said no matter what we would meet and eventually take on the menace that is about to come.

Fumetsu- 04-06-2006

~'Damn, I'm caught,' he thought, as his eyes widened. He then realized that the strange man said 'girl with a lost memory.' That meant she had not known. He was safe, for now. Nagiken turned back around. "I am no more a musician than I am a man in a coat, or a demon dragon/human, or a girl with a lost memory. Or, atleast I can leave that up to you to decide." Nagiken pulled his hagiku from behind his back and placed it in front of him as he began to sit indian style. He raised his arms, slightly, to bring his sleeves down a bit from his arms so that they would not interfere with the strings. He held down the E and C strings on the right side at different distances, and played The Ode of Owari. He changed chords and strings rapidly, but played quite slowly, which was the normal song speed. He played with his left hand, swiping certain strings and plcuking others. He did not speak or sing as he played, nor did he open his eyes. He finished the song. "Fate did not bring us together, because I'll be taking my leave now. Unless, of course, any of you would like to debate this in the dark." Nagiken swung his foot across the candle on the one side of the room o nthe wall, putting it out, and blew the other out by the window as he jumped through the wooden barred placement. The dark is how an assassin works. The dark provides sight with sounds. Music moves your mind, and while your mind moves, your body should not be. While your body moves, your mind should not be. Nagiken had many songs to think in the dark to know how he should move. He could also close his eyes, for they were not needed then, and granted his other senses better use, for a time. The second before he touched ground, he said, "Don't get lost any time soon..." A splash was heard, for there was a river near by. He had thrown his sandles into the river. They were not needed right now, only for this distraction, which only Nagiken could have know. This was because he was bare foot, and his feet would not make noise on the hard ground while he was bare foot, unlike sandles. He had hoped that they would try and find him by the river, because his sandles still had some blood on them. It was something Nagiken remembered even after he had thrown them in the river, but a good advantage to throw them off. Nagiken kept running, until he was able to jump and climb the closest tree to the inn. He climbed the tree almost all the way to the top, but far enough to where he could make a short jump to a window in the inn. He lept, and sure enough, landed on his feet, but just barely. It was a completely different room than the one that the other three had been in, and had two other windows. If Nagiken were to be caught, he would improvise. It's still a stupid thing to worry about, though. It's just some villagers that claim he does blood magic... There was a man in the other room who claimed to be a demon dragon/human. That man could be the ultimate scape goat. If he were to lead him into Mitani Village, where Nagiken was chased out, and if the villagers there found out about that man, then Nagiken would be free to go. Nagiken locked the door and stuck a hagiku finger pick into the lock so that a key would not open it from the other side. If they could not find him, then he had a free room for atleast a night. Nagiken layed his hagiku on the floor, and put himself in bed, but did not go to sleep. He lay awake, thinking about nothing. Nothing as the lack of existence, and Nothing as the Living Void. Nothing impressed him much more than musical talent beyond his own, but he was modest about that. Nothing had been able to defeat him, because he is still alive, and maybe he will not be defeated after death. There was nothing in his stomach, also... "Jeez..." he whispered, quiet enough for no one to comprehend the sound as a human voice. He forgot to bring food from Mitani Village.~
