Japanese? I had been trying to learn as much as I can...so I could impress this one girl...but then something...well, now I'm trying to learn just for the heck of it and I wanted to know if anyone else knows or is learning to speak the language. If so post what words or phrases you know.

Shinobi-Kun- 07-31-2005
LOL i kno, im so sry XD, thats for sum1 else to say *wink wink nudge nudge*
Amy- 07-31-2005
AHEM! *coughs REALLY loudly**glares* ANYWAYS...
How about, you're BOTH wrong. ^^;;
In the Japanese language, you're only suppose to say aishiteru when you REALLY REALLY love someone and intend to marry them. It's most commonly used among married couples though. If it's just love or like or whatever that you havn't thought as far as to marriage yet, (who does off the bat >.<) you say daisuki.
I took ONE day of Japanese since I couldn't continue the lesson because the 2 people that were suppose to take it abandoned me....*glares at one of them because I can*....yes....but I can read basic erm, I don't know what they are called. XD Haha. Just the basic ones.
Although, I learn a lot off anime so yeah...^^; If I listen people speaking Japanese, I can probably pick up a few things but never really quite understand.
Makino- 07-31-2005
LOL Shinobi, her one day of Japanese topped our whole year.. this is sad...
Shinobi-Kun- 07-31-2005
lol well i guess it depends on wat people see as love and like. i take the word love really seriously. i'd say if u love someone its gonna b sum1 ur gonna die for. other wise no matter how strong it is. its only like. thats y isay "aishiteru" is "i love u". and that "daisuki" is "like u alot"
Makino- 07-31-2005
Ah that is true to some extent, different people's point of views towards love are always different and the use of words depending on your point of view will dif as well. In today's society there are alot of people that claim they love someone.. but they hoenstly have no idea what they are talking about, which is kinda sad but its reality.
My little rant on love XD back on topic.. hai hai iie!! baka baka baka! XD
Amy- 07-31-2005
Yes...that is...really on topic. XD Well I guess since it's Japanese.
Well obviously it depends on someone's view. If you love that much to that extent, than obviously you use aishiteru. I'm just describing the Japanese culture and how it's mostly used. Some people are scared of commitment but at the same time they still like someone...so it's more commonly used as "daisuki." Even in most animes, you'll find "daisuki" more as a confession of love than "aishiteru". Actually, I can't think of an anime that has used aishiteru. Maybe CCS did, but than again that might just be me and my fanfics. ^^;;;
Shinobi-Kun- 07-31-2005
lol, u mite not understand what makino jus said at the end so this is wat u would say...
Wakaranai ===> i dont understand.
and if u DID understand, u say....

Makino- 07-31-2005

Amy- 07-31-2005
