I'm Japanese, but I don't know any, sadly. I want to learn though. I know a few words. Shiro: Castle Fumetsu: Immortal Hikaru: Light Uta: Song Katana: Longsword Tanto: Dagger/Knife Doji: Mistake Daidoji: BIG Mistake (Legend of the Five Rings, two family names are doji and Daidoji. The company didn't know much abotu the Japanese language when they started the game, and just threw out some Asian sounding syllables. By accident, they put in Kuso). Bi: Beauty/Beautiful Ken: Sword Yojin: Viligence I can't remember any more, but they'll come to me. I remember some of these from Legend of the Five Rings, but it's not a very good Japanese teacher, since everyone on their company staff is red-neck white. -=}N{=-

Drago11- 12-02-2005

They call it a halberd in the show, but a halberd is really a large battle axe with a spike on one end, so I don't know what it would be considered in actuality. Drago

They call it a halberd in the show, but a halberd is really a large battle axe with a spike on one end, so I don't know what it would be considered in actuality. Drago Actually, a halberd is a battle axe on a metal staff-like pole, perhaps with a spike on the end. Sort of like a guan dao, but less like a naginata. Bonkotsu's sword is a bonryuu. That's not the name of it, that's what it is. If you really want any other name for it, call it a great sword. That's the only other thing it is. -=}N{=-

Makaru- 12-03-2005

I personally think the best name for it is flippin' huge sword. Kinda off topic here, though.

yosha- 12-04-2005

i know but i just need to know what it was called

~*Kaiya*~- 12-08-2005

haha, it's quite funny how things can get off topic! And I agree with Makaru...flippin huge sword works for me! ^^

anime_inuyasha- 01-01-2006

My friend had a book of japanese for travelers and I picked a few things up from it. Onaka ga sukimashita - I'm hungry Nai yoi - Not good

Drago11- 02-17-2006

This is some stuff I've picked up: Mahou: magic (good/white/whatever) Madou: magic (dark/black/you get the idea) Mahoutsukai: (white) magician/wizard Madoushi: (dark) magician/sorceror Tokusou: Special Investigation, I think Deka: slang for detective, if I remember right Henshin: transform/change Baka!: stupid/idiot/a lot of Japanese insults, meaning varying on how you say the word. Tenkuu: Heaven/heavenly Yuusha (I'm not sure I spelled that right): saint/saintly/something like that Bouken: adventure Kamen: mask/masked Kabuto: a type of beetle (Heracles, I think) that's a popular pet among children in Japan. Watashi: I (referring to yourself) Watashi no namae wa ______-desu: My name is ______. I know, most of that won't do you much good in the real world, but it's still fun to know. And I've picked this all up (with the exception of the last one) from just watching subbed Japanese media. Drago

Fumetsu- 02-19-2006

Tengoku: Heaven Toshigoku: The Realm of Slaughter Meido: Meido Ningen Do: I believe that's just the place of existence that true life resides on (not spirits or undead). Japanese is the hardest language to learn. "Good day, would you like acup of tea?" can easily be mistranslated into "Hello, would you monkey fish carburator?" I suggest a real teacher. -=}N{=-
