Chi and Ki...@_@ I can't tell the difference but I know their both a sort of energy. :3
i believe chi, ki, and chakra is all a type of spiritual energy, well chakra more like converted stamina. but chi and ki are a type of energy that is built up sprititually.

when you learn in a class they teach you the proper language. if you learn from a person they teach you the street language and slang and whatnot. so its not more reliable, its more practical and formal use you are learning.
