Just figured I'd let y'all know about Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA), a three day anime fest I just found out about a week ago from my friend. It's occuring September 23-25 2005 at the Cobb Galleria Centre and the Rennaisance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. I plan to attend, I was wondering if anybody else would be able to hightail it down here to Georgia for this. Vic Mignogna will be there , along with some other people with various involvements in anime. For more information, check out the official AWA Website. Hope at least one person here can make it.

DANG! This is the time that I wished I lived closer to Atlanta. But alas...I don't. Well, have fun!

I live too far away to attend a con like that. XD I wish I could go to all da cons though, it would be so much fun to do so. T-T

Look at it this way, guys: Some of you got to go to CN Anime 2005 without me, and I get to go to this without you (regrettably, as I like all of you). Sad, but fair. I'm pretty excited, I've never been to any conventions before, at least, not that I can remember. I hope I have a good time...and that my parents will agree to pay for a membership. Cuz I'm busy saving for a Gamecube right now, and don't want to cut into my own funds. Drago

Yup, pictures are your best friend. XP I know, that's why I wish I could attend all the cons...^^;; I remember my first con and I was excited but didn't know what to expect. It was really fun though so I hope you have just as much fun. =D And bring lots of spending money if possible and you want to get things. ^^;;

For the record, a few notes: Obviously, I won't be able to attend on Friday, at least, not the whole day. I'll have to see if I can make at least part of it after school (getting home at 2:30 has its advantages ). For whatever part I can attend, I will be sure to take pictures. Saturday will have to be another part day, as I'm seeing "Phantom of the Opera" sometime that day, can't remember when, but the Fox Theater (where it's being performed) is in Atlanta as well, so the gobetween shouldn't take too long. I doubt I'll be staying either night there, but I'll stay as long as humanly possible (which is an amount of time that depends on my homework situation). Sunday, I'll attend what I can, taking pictures and doing whatever, and then come back home to take a break before I face reality again and post the pictures online for the benefiet of all of you. If I can find time, I plan to make an Inuyasha constume for the cosplay competition. I'll keep you updated with anything more I find out. Drago

I know what you mean. There is a con in May here and usually it SHOULD be on a long weekend but sometimes it's not. ^^;; I always end up missing Friday because of school and sometimes Sunday because of homework. T-T

yea, i missed anime north too T.T i wanted to go to that one. btw. Amy or Makino, are you two going to upload the pics for the con? i wanna leach off them. XD

I don't have a scanner so I can't upload them. XD Mine wasn't digital...so yeah....XD Anyways, getting off topic. T-T How much is the entrance fee there for this con?

General (13 and above): $20 for one day, $30 for two (consecutive), and $40 for all three. Children (6-13): $10 for one day, $15 for two (consecutive), and $20 for all three. 5 and under are free with a paying adult. EDIT: Yes, they're all in USD. I do agree that it's kind of expensive, but hopefully it'll be worth it. Drago

But these are all in US dollars right? Or am I thinking elsewhere? XD It's a bit expensive if it's US, if it's not than it's cheap. :3
